I write books
worth keeping.
I'm Sapphire — a novelist and essayist writing about memory, home, and starting over. This site holds everything I publish. Nothing else.
How I work
Three rules pinned above my desk.
Written by hand
Every draft starts on paper. No ghostwriters, no content mills — just one voice, revised until it sings.
Made to keep
Short books you finish. Long books you remember. Designed for re-reading, lending, and underlining.
Honest work
I publish only what I would press into a stranger's hands. If it isn't that good, it stays in the drawer.
The journey so far
First pages
Started writing every morning before work. A novel draft, three notebooks, no audience.
First book
Published my debut independently and sold the first hundred copies one reader at a time.
Full-time writing
Left the day job. Built a small studio, a slower routine, and a growing shelf of books.
Sapphire Books
This site — a home for all my books, notes, and letters to readers. Nothing else.
